HP Mini 210-1095NR 10.1-Inch Red Netbook
The HP Mini-210 is a nice netbook to own. I chose the HP over other netbooks mainly because of the keyboard. The keyboard is nice and easy to use plus feels solid unlike other ones I have seen. One other factor was the battery life. Although in real life I seem to be getting just over 6hrs of use between charges (-0.5 a star for not living up to the 9.75 hrs but that is to be expected). As others have mentioned the battery does seem to be a little bit loose, but it has no affect on the use of the machine. The larger battery also tips the keyboard up to a nice angle to type on. A backlit keyboard would be nice to have too.
Definitely budget on upgrading the memory. Its really annoying that you can't buy these out of the box with 2Gb installed, but thats allegedly Microsoft's doing. The base of the netbook comes off reasonably easy to access the internals where you can swap the memory out. There also appears to be an empty PCI-Express slot too.
I'm surprised about some of the negative reviews regarding the wired network port. I had no problems finding a cable that fits in easily. You just need a more traditional cable which doesn't have some huge lump of colored plastic glued on to the end of the cable.
