Det er igen blevet tid til at kigge på bundkort her på iTrends. Denne gang drejer det sig om et bundkort der er udstyret med AMDs helt nye chipset i form af 890GX. Dem som kender lidt til AMDs chipset-serie, vil også vide at dette er deres serie med onboard grafikkort og dermed heller ikke deres highend chipset.

Bundkortet, som vi denne gang skal teste, kommer fra velkendte ASUS. Vi kender alle til ASUS som en af de største producenter på markedet. Det være sig bundkort, grafikkort osv. Modellen som vi denne gang skal kigge på, er ASUS M4A89GTD Pro/USB3. Bundkortet tilbyder bl.a. SATA 6 GB/s, USB 3 og onboard HD4200.

This motherboard is great. I just put an I5-750 cpu and 4 gigs G.Skill DDR3 1600 ram, a Nvidia GTX 275 vid card.I'm very surprized at the overall speed increase over my seciondary system which has an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 duel core in it which is also very fast.This board is packed with high quality parts and a high level of construction. Awesome Overclocking board as well.I was blown away by the low price of this board.This board has been rated by several testing websites as one of the top boards out there for performance and quality.I'm a 18 year pc hardware tech and I build highend gameing pc's and play many pc games both online and off. I would highly recomend this board to anyone that doesn't feel they need a full size board for extra addin PCI boards.This is a Micro board and if you will be putting in a large 2 slot video card you will only have 1 pci slot that is not covered by that card to install any addistional PCI cards you may need.

I have had this motherboard for a couple of weeks, and my overall impression is very positive. I don't do much overclocking, but the board has performed very well with all of my programs. One area really stands out, though: I do use iTunes quite a bit, and I've never heard better sound than this board produces. It's outstanding.

I have 2 running W7 & Vista, they are solidly reliable, no troubles & fast. One is using the onboard graphics with a 19" monitor at 1440x900x60 analog & displays HDTV & movies no problem. HD digital audio out (SPDIF) is a nice feature, but they don't include a connector bracket/cable so you need a 2 pin header to RCA adapter cable. I just plugged mine into my graphics card (also a 2 pin header) on the w7 machine & feed the digital audio out through the HDMI cable (if you have a graphics card that can do this).
